Nancy P. Burgin, 81, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026 at Terra Bella Assisted Living, Cramerton, NC. She was born in Gaston County on February 2, 1944, to the late John Coppedge Puett and Margaret Pasour Puett.

Nancy was a member of the Dallas High School, Class of 1962. While there, she was a Majorette, played basketball,  and Yearbook Editor. Being musically talented, she played in a group of fellow students providing swing music. Following graduation, she attended Gaston College. Nancy’s career focused on Accounting Practices. Throughout her life, Nancy enjoyed rooting plants and sharing with friends. She loved the beach, shag music, and participated in SOS every chance she could.  

She is  survived by two daughters, Jena Burgin-Peters (Bob) of Charlotte, NC and Janet G. Burgin, of Clover, SC; sisters, Margaret Schrum, of Lincolnton, NC, Susan Herman, of Wilmington, NC and Selena McCarter, of Wilmington, NC. She leaves behind one granddaughter, Georgia Beth Peters, of Charlotte, NC, affectionately known as GB; three nephews, one niece, and two great nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 11 - 12:30 at Bowling Green Presbyterian Church, 250 Ridge Rd, Bowling Green, SC 29703.
