Pauline Patterson Clark, 94, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with Our Lord and Savior Sunday, June 5, 2022, departing this life peacefully by the grace of God with her family by her side. Miss Pauline, a native of Kannapolis, NC, was born July 30, 1927, the daughter of the late John Milas Patterson and Edna Sloop Patterson.
After graduating from Cannon High School in Kannapolis, she went to King’s College in Charlotte. Upon graduation, she started her 46 year career with Prudential Insurance Company. Pauline was an active and devoted member of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church for over 65 years, where she loved and cherished her extended Steele Creek family. Pauline enjoyed reading her bible, gardening, arrowhead hunting, and spending time with her family. Pauline was loved immensely by her family, those in her community, and the church congregation, and will certainly be missed.
Pauline is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, David Cole Clark, her father and mother, brothers Dr. Grover Patterson and Dr. Curtis Patterson, sisters Gladys Lowry and Mable Wilkinson, and son-in-Law Robert Erwin Peaseley. Pauline is survived by her sister Helen Patterson, three daughters; Felicia Clark-Peaseley, Marcia Clark Henderson, Rachel Clark Howell and husband Chris; as well as seven grandchildren, Matthew Brian Henderson, Robert Cole Peaseley, Melissa Clark Peaseley, Krista Nicole Henderson, Brittany Tyler Howell, Brandon Douglas McKee, and Marshall Cole Howell; two great-grandchildren, George David Henderson and Frederick Clark Henderson; numerous nieces, and nephews; dear family friends Louise and Bobby Freeman.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC. The funeral will be 11 am Thursday, June 9th at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill with a graveside service following, at the Historic Steele Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
