Miss Peggy Ola Moore, 87, formerly of Clover, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Westminster Towers, Rock Hill, SC,
A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Bowling Green Presbyterian Church, 250 Ridge Road, Clover, SC with the Rev. Alisa Johnson and Rev. John Myers Graham. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
A private burial was held at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Peggy was born on August 8, 1936, in Chester, SC, to the late Ola Aycock and Palmer Marion Moore. She graduated from Chester High School in 1954 and from Winthrop College in 1958, with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Peggy enjoyed a 30 year teaching career at Montclaire Elementary School in Charlotte, NC, retiring in 1988. She was employed by First Union National Bank for 10 years as a retail investment specialist, retiring from there in 2003.
Peggy moved to Clover, SC in 1998. She was a member of Bowling Green Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and an elder and served on various committees. She enjoyed bowling, yard work, crossword puzzles, reading, and traveling.
Survivors are her cousin, Rev. John Myers Graham of Lake City, SC; sister Betty Love of Rock Hill, SC; and a number of special nieces and nephews from the Love family.
