On Thursday, April 17, 2025, Mr. Phillip Wayne Cranford, 64, of Clover, SC, was united with Jesus and called home to Heaven.
Born on Christmas Day in 1960, Phil was the youngest son of the late Glenn “Parks” and Betty Jean “Bet” Blackwelder Cranford. His parents instilled in him a disciplined work ethic, a generous heart, and a love for the Lord. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need.
Phil loved music and being outdoors. His hobbies included camping, deer hunting, fishing, going to races with his son and friends, and he made the best BBQ around. He doted on his beloved wife and always brought a laugh or smile to the faces of those around him. He was fiercely loyal to his family and would often sacrifice to provide for them. Phil was a dedicated Sunday school teacher and deacon at his church.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents Parks & Bet Cranford, his granddaughter Claire Piper Cranford, and many others that he loved well. We know their reunion in Heaven was sweet.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Joanne Johnson Cranford; his daughter Lorianne and his son Daniel (Rachel); his brothers, Stanley Cranford (Debbie) of Concord, NC, and Greg Cranford (Jan) of Harrisburg, NC; his grandsons, Bowen Parks and Silas Jack Cranford; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his church family at FBC Clover.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Clover First Baptist Church, 117 S. Main St., Clover, SC with the Rev. Mike Stafford and Rev. Dave Stanford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to Worship First at First Baptist Church of Clover.
