Ramona Morton Purser, 78, passed away May 25, 2018 in Pineville, North Carolina.  

Ramona was born June 3, 1939, and grew up on a dairy farm in Albemarle, North Carolina. She is one of four children born to Mildred Parnell Morton and William Everett Morton. She was a member of Redeeming Grace PCA in Lake Wylie, SC and a previous long time member of Third Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC.  In addition to her parents, Ramona is preceded in death by her brother Keith Morton of Greenville, South Carolina. 

Ramona is survived by her two sisters Joyce (and family), Beauie (and family), her five children Kimberly (Clarissa) of Asheville, NC; Jama (Bina) of Roanoke, VA; Michael (Joni) of Ft. Mill, SC; Paul (Susan) of Clover, SC and Matthew (Jennifer, Michael, Noah, Zachary) of Clover, SC and her beloved grandson Jacob.

Ramona earned a RN degree in nursing and spent many years serving as charge nurse at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, NC where she received many accolades including CMC Mercy Hospital Employee of the Year.  She was a devoted mother and caregiver to many, and the memory of her life will be a blessing to all who knew her.

The family will hold a private graveside funeral.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to Redeeming Grace PCA, New Building Fund:  4800 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.
