Rev. Kenneth Kay Ashley, Jr., 75, of York, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.
Rev. Ashley was born July 20, 1949, in Abbeville, SC, to the late Kenneth Kay Ashley, Sr. and Kate Matilda Werner Ashley.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda Lynn Sanders Ashley; his son, Justin Clay Ashley (Megan), Fort Mill, SC; his daughter, Kia Ashley Dungan (John), Charlotte, NC; his four grandchildren, Jackson Ashley, Kai Dungan, Zane Dungan, and Bay Dungan; and his sister, Karen Ashley.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025, at The Journey at Lake Wylie, 5415 Hwy. 557, Lake Wylie, SC, with the Rev. Matt McGarity officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service in the church Family Life Center.
