Rev. Lonnie Edward Harris, age 74, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022.

Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, May 2, 2022 at Bethel House of Prayer, 951 Riddle Mill Rd., Lake Wylie, SC, conducted by the Rev. Jeremy Tipton.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy., York, SC.  The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Sunday night at the church.

Lonnie was born June 28, 1947 in Copperhill, TN to the late Elmer and Bertha Coleman Harris. He was the founding minister of Bethel House of Prayer and also loved carpentry.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Dorcas Ledford Harris;  son, Robert E. Harris (Sharon), Clover, SC;  3 daughters, Connie H. Anderson (Doyle) and Peggy H. Poindexter (Jim) both of Clover, SC and April H. Holiday (Darin), Shelby, NC;  2 brothers, Lane Harris (Jean) and Elmer Harris, Jr. (Tammy) both of Clover, SC;  4 sisters, Jane Trantham (Randy), Clover, SC, Norma Jean Harris, FL, Joyce Ledford (Kenneth), Gastonia, NC, and Libby Quinn (Bill), Clover, SC; 8 grandchildren, Aaron Harris, Renee Christman (Josh), Zachary Anderson, Tabitha A. McPeters (Billy), Rachel Holiday, Seth Holiday, Aiden Holiday and Ava Holiday, and 4 great grandchildren, Callie and Chloe Christman, Lillian and Rebecca McPeters
