Mrs. Rita Walker Dulin, (75), of Clover, SC, passed away Friday, January 24 at her home.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday January 29 at the Bowling Green Presbyterian Church, Ridge Road, Clover, SC with the Rev. Lisa Johnson and Rev. James Gable officiating. Interment will be in the Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday January 28 at M. L. Ford & Sons, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC.
Mrs. Dulin was born March 10, 1949, in York, SC to the late Edmond Marshall and Rebecca Brandon Walker.
Survivors are her husband of 55 years, Robert “Bob” Dulin; sons Mark C. Dulin of Chicago, IL and James B. Dulin (Angela) of Ashland City, TN; sister Beverly W. Alsobrooks (Wicker) of York, SC; brother James “Jimmy” Walker of Clover, SC; grandchildren Matthew & Emma Dulin and Eleanor Blair Dulin; nephews David Alsobrooks and Scott Walker; and niece Holly Alsobrooks.
Rita was active in her church and community. She was a member of the Clover Women’s Club where she performed many duties including serving as its President and chairing its scholarship committee for graduates of her alma mater. Rita was a proud graduate of Clover High School, where she was member of the class of 1967.
High School classmates will remember her talents as an organizer. She was a driving force behind many events, including planning class reunions. These reunions helped many to maintain lifelong bonds of friendship that might not have been possible without her tireless efforts. Rita was an active member of Bowling Green Presbyterian Church, serving as a member of the Women of the Church at both the church and Presbytery level. She also contributed to her church family by serving as circle chairman. She was elected and served as one of the first women elders in the Bowling Green Church.
