Mr. Robert Logan Burgin, Jr., age 81, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.

A funeral service will be 12 pm Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Redeeming Grace Presbyterian Church (formerly Scherer Memorial Presbyterian Church) conducted by Rev. Aaron Morgan and Rev. Allan Wiley.  Interment will be in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, March 19, 2021 at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie.  Mask will be required at the funeral service and visitation.  

Mr. Burgin was born October 11, 1939 in Gastonia, NC to the late Robert Logan Burgin, Sr. and Gertrude Helms Burgin.  SMSgt Burgin retired from the North Carolina Air National Guard as an engine shop supervisor where he served from 1961 to 1999.  He loved his family, friends, NCANG family, church where he was the “sound man”, fishing, music, the beach, and especially his precious granddaughter, GB.

Survivors are his wife Kitty Burgin; daughters Jena Burgin-Peters (Bob) of Charlotte and Janet Burgin of Clover; granddaughter Georgia Beth Peters and special family friend Bill Burkett of Lake Wylie.
