Ronald Hope Faris, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his Crawfordville, Florida home on September 3, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on October 7, 1951, Ron was a man who defied the constraints of age, choosing to remain forever young at heart. He approached life with a contagious enthusiasm, always finding joy in the simplest of moments. An avid admirer of nature's wonders, Ron found solace in kicking back in his rocking chair and observing the world around him. Whether it was the majesty of thunderstorms rolling across the Florida sky or the delicate dance of birds seeking refuge in his handmade shelters, he was captivated by the beauty and power of the natural world.
Throughout his career as a security specialist for the Florida Lottery, Ron's curiosity and passion for understanding the inner workings of things drove him to tinker and explore. His inquisitive nature led him to dismantle antique clocks and machinery, always seeking to unravel their mysteries.
His fascination with weather and tinkering was matched only by his love for cooking, where he delighted in grilling and gathering new cooking gadgets. His home was often filled with the most intoxicating aromas and delightful flavors. His appreciation for music knew no bounds, and he instilled in his children a deep love for diverse sounds, his discerning ear ensured that every melody was clear and vibrant. Music was a constant presence in his home, transcending genres and bringing joy to all who settled in with him to listen.
In accordance with his wishes, Ron's departure from this world was marked by simplicity and serenity as he made his way into the arms of his ancestors. Those who knew and loved him bid him farewell with prayers of peace and protection, finding solace in the gentle rhythms of nature that surrounded them. We will forever celebrate his life through nature’s songs; the flutter of the hummingbird’s wings, the drip of the rain, and the reverberation of the windchimes as the afternoon breezes wind their way in.
Ron is survived by his children Mara Hope Faris of Buchanan, Virginia, Alicia Faris (Brian) of Piedmont, California. Siblings, Earl Steven Faris (Gail) of Freeport, Florida, Janice Currence Meek (Larry) of Gastonia, North Carolina, Terry Kenton Faris of Waukesha Wisconsin, nieces Stefanie Faris King (Howard) of Dothan, Alabama and Kenton Elliott Faris of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
May Ron's soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know him.
