Ronald Stewart Smith of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, passed away at his home on Saturday, 20 August 2022.   He was 78 years of age.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street in Clover, South Carolina.

Ron was born in Monroe, North Carolina, on the 23rd of July 1944, the only child of the late Walter D. Smith and Margaret Vernelle Sings Smith.

Ron held a Bachelor of science degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University and did post-graduate work at East Carolina.

Survivors include his daughter Roni Leslie Jones and her husband Keith L. Jones both of Charlotte North Carolina, his son Russ Stewart Smith of York South Carolina, one granddaughter, Taylor Marie Lewis and  her husband Landen Brian Lewis of Branford Florida, and many dear cousins and friends.
