Sandra Kay Burrma of Otsego, MI passed away peacefully Saturday, December 28, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Clover, South Carolina.

She was born on December 26, 1956, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Walter R. and Rika E. (Kroeze) Griffith. She graduated from Plainwell High School and Western Michigan University, Master of Social Work. She served her community through work as a social worker and a volunteer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the garden and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cynthia (Griffith) Sincler.

She is survived by her daughter Elena (Michael) Johnson and granddaughters, Carly and Katherine Johnson of Clover, SC; and sons Eric Burrma of Holland, MI and David Burrma of Missouri; nephew Richard (Bonnie) Sincler of Otsego, MI and niece Carmen (Joshua) Cobb of Plainwell, MI, and 8 great nieces and nephews; and Aunt Angie (Kroeze) Mastenbrook of Kalamazoo, MI.

A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, 1015 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI.
