Mrs. Sarah Ann Fanning Hill, 74, of Clover, SC passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. 

Sarah was born September 22, 1951, in Orangeburg, SC, to the late Luther Fanning and Ira Mae Odom Fanning.  She retired from the Clover School District.

Survivors are her husband of 48 years, Thomas B. Hill, Sr.; daughters April H. Boatner (Frankie) of Clover, SC;  Sherry H. Leonard (Thomas) of Myrtle Beach, SC; son Thomas B Hill Jr (Barbara) of Clover, SC; grandsons Christopher "Cody" Williams of Clover, SC; Eric Ballard (Becky) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Matt Ballard (ToniAnne) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Preston Hill of James Island, SC; and Ross Hill of Clover, SC.  She is also survived by her fur baby Piper of the home; and grand fur monkey George Henry.  She was preceded in death by a son, John Christopher Hill.

Sarah is now in Heaven, walking the streets of gold with her son, Chris, and her mother and father. Although her passing is incredibly difficult, her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved so deeply.

Here on earth, Sarah filled her days with simple joys and the people who meant the most to her. She loved crocheting, going for walks with the friends she gathered throughout her life, and shopping at Wal‑Mart with her husband. 

She cherished every moment spent with her beloved fur baby, Piper, and her grand fur monkey, George Henry. Some of her happiest times were spent at the airport with her daughter, April, watching her grandson, Cody, fly airplanes. 

Cody was the light of her world — in her eyes, there was nothing "her boy" couldn’t achieve if he set his mind to do it. He meant the world to her! He was her heart and soul. She would always say to Cody "I love you more than chocolate!"  Her family will forever hold her close in their hearts, grateful for the love, laughter, and warmth she brought into their lives.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Clover Wesleyan Church, 102 Parkview Lane, Clover, SC, with the Rev. Adrian Ballard officiating.  Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Clover, SC.
