Sarah Duncan Robinson (89) of Irmo, SC passed away peacefully at home on Sunday October 22, 2023.
Sarah was born July 27, 1934, to A.L. and Vivian Duncan in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She graduated from Converse College and later received her Master’s degree in Education. On August 31, 1957, Sarah married the love of her life, Lindsay Cody Robinson. Eventually settling in Irmo, South Carolina, Sarah and Cody raised their children, sang in the church choir, and played Bridge regularly. Sarah taught Senior English for twenty-five years at Irmo High School. Sarah loved to sing as a faithful choir member and, later, with the Connestee Chorale. She never gave up playing Bridge and loved to win - - right up to a week ago.
Sarah was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and her brother Donald Duncan.
She is survived by her children: Vivian Elizabeth Mowery (Bill), Mary Cecelia Robinson, Sarah Joyce Robinson, and Lindsay Cody Robinson, Jr., her grandchildren, Rashelle Page (Jason) and Matthew Fouche, and great grandchildren Ethan, Everly, John Luke, Daniel and nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Beersheba Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 130 South Beersheba Road in Clover, S.C. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4th 2 PM at 17 Circle Dr., Chapin SC.
