Mrs. Sharon Norine Mathis Ferguson, 67, of Clover, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Piedmont Medical Center.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Haven of Rest Baptist Church, 645 Connolly Road, York, SC with the Rev. Johnny King officiating.   The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Ferguson was born July 23, 1958 in York, SC to the late J. B. Mathis and Edna Cope Mathis.  She was retired from the Clover School District.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Ray Ferguson, Sr., her son, Jimmy Ray Ferguson, Jr. and a grandson, Christopher Gowan.

Survivors are her daughters Anita F. Coon (Tom) of Macclenny, FL and Elizabeth Ferguson (Matthew Leach) of Charlotte, NC; sisters Hattie Roberson (Jack) and Pam Mathis; brothers Eddie Mathis (Anne) and Gene Mathis; grandchildren Hannah Gowan (Alex Mora), Cameron Rowland (Tiffany Thomas), Brian Rowland, and Max Lail; and great grandchild Lylah Mora.
