Mrs. Sharon Yvonne Sills Gaskins, 78, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at White Oak Manor, Rock Hill, SC.

Sharon was born April 29, 1947, in Norfolk, VA to the late Ron and Lillian Jones Sills.  She moved with her family to Charlotte, NC in 1954.  She graduated from West Mecklenburg High School and worked for Duke Energy.

Most of Sharon’s time was spent raising her three boys and volunteering countless hours at their schools and with their sports teams.  She was a loving and proud Nana to her grandchildren. 

Sharon was a dedicated church member at Garden Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC and attended activities with her family at Bowling Green Presbyterian Church in Clover, SC. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Becky Blackmon.

Survivors are her husband of 58 years, Charles “Chuck” Gaskins; sons David Gaskins (Ashley) of Clover, SC, Randy Gaskins (Shannon) and Gary Gaskins (Heather) both of Belmont, NC; sister Patricia Godbey; brother Ron Sills (Suzanne); and grandchildren Lillian, Grant and Luke Gaskins.

A memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Bowling Green Presbyterian Church, 250 Ridge Road, Clover, SC with the Rev. Lisa Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the Church.
