Mr. Shelley “Jim” James Stewart, Jr., 92, of York, SC, passed away surrounded by his family, Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Atrium Health-Pineville.

Funeral service will be 2:30 Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 1184 N. Shiloh Road, York, SC with the Rev. John D. White officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service in the Family Life Center.  Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Stewart was born March 11, 1932 in York County, SC to the late Shelley James Stewart, Sr. and Nora Jane Whitt Stewart.  He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a long time Cattle Farmer.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dottie McCarter and his brother, Bainard Stewart.

Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Christine Hartness Stewart; daughters Elizabeth S. Schrum (Darrin), Nora S. Ricks (Clay), and Laura Stewart all of York, SC; sister Gay Feemster (Sam) of Bullocks Creek, SC, Bertie Boyd (Frank) of Indian Land, SC, and Pat Mellon of Rock Hill, SC; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
