Mrs. Shirley Simpson Banks, 84, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at M.L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 209 N. Main Street, Clover, SC conducted by the Rev. Brett Boykin.   

Mrs. Banks was born November 11, 1937 in Fort Bragg, NC to the late Judge Lee and Leona Height Simpson.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Melton Banks, Sr.   

Survivors are her daughter Cathy Cook of Clover; son Gary Whitaker of Monroe, NC; sister Gayle Simpson of Monroe, NC; grandchildren Joshua Lee Cook, Ernest Jason Cook, Dennis Warren Whitaker and Stacy Whitaker and five great grandchildren.
