Mrs. Shirley Postell Stephens, 93, of Tega Cay, SC, left this world, and many loved ones behind on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Atrium Health, Pineville, NC for a life eternal with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Redeeming Grace Presbyterian Church, 4800 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC with the Rev. Aaron Morgan officiating. In light of the current situation with Covid 19, the service will observe social distancing by seating in every other pew. Masks are encouraged but optional.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and gracious homemaker. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill, SC. Shirley was active in church choirs for many years; she had a gifted voice and used it to bring joy to others and glory to the Lord.
Shirley was born August 18, 1927 in Charlotte, NC to the late James Anderson and Susan Henderlite Postell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack Stephens; sister, Barbara Postell; brothers, Jim and Tom Postell; son, Michael Stephens and granddaughter, Kelly Kakouras.
Survivors are her daughters, Kimberly S. Robinson of Tega Cay, SC; Barbara S. Clippinger of Fort Mill, SC, and Allison S. Bowman (Russell) of Tega Cay, SC; nine grandchildren; Noah Wood (Jessica), Olivia Clippinger, Payton Randall (Robert), Candace Helms (Brian), Maggie Pippin (George), Erin R. Doerflinger (Daniel), Abigail Lawson, Katherine Lopez (Paul) and Sam Bowman (Shannon); twenty-one great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and her companion of the last eight years, William Crook of Rock Hill, SC.
