Steven Douglas Heisler, 64, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Steven was born March 21, 1958, to Audrey Heisler and the late Douglas Dunn Heisler. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Heisler, and his brother, James W. Heisler.
Starting at a young age, Steve worked alongside of his father learning every aspect of the woodworking trade. Those years of learning turned into a lifetime career that eventually evolved into designing. His incredible talent of woodworking and design has been featured in Boston magazine.
Steven "Lumpy" was a member of American Legion Post 14 in Vernon, CT. He was an avid historian, and enjoyed reading the On This Day section of Wikipedia every morning. His love of cigars, good food and his dog Colt is only surpassed by his unconditional and unrelenting love for all of his grandchildren.
Lumpy never met a stranger. He was a skilled conversationalist and had a gift of making you feel a part of his circle. If you were his friend, you were his friend for life.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tisa Cloukey Heisler; his daughters, Aleana Howard (Kevin), Clover, SC, and Heather Kenney, New Britain, CT; his son, Eric Kenney (Jessica), Savannah, GA, and his sisters, Laura Heisler and Jennifer Valente. He was also the proudest Papa to his thirteen grandkids.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the TKB, 1 Vernon Avenue, Rockville, CT 06066, starting at 11:00 a.m.
