Steven Allen Racz, 55, went to his heavenly home on May 7, 2021.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Steven was born on March 31, 1966 in Oscoda, MI. Steven accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 9. He married Michaelle on December 19, 1987. Steven sought the Lord daily and served their household in Jesus’ name. In later years, Steven and Michaelle built their dream home, Steven finishing half of the house himself, the home serving as a safe place for all to come and hear of God’s faithfulness. Steven loved to tinker, build, and fix things. He loved fishing with Ken Egel, father-in-law, and friends, and working outside. He loved black licorice, foot-tapping music, and puzzles. Steven’s life verses were Matthew 11:28-30 which read, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (NIV).
Steven is survived by his wife Michaelle Racz (Egel) of Lake Wyle, South Carolina; his parents John and Judy Racz of Bright, Indiana; his children Melissa and Hunter Hook of Cramerton NC, and Ryan and Aline Racz of Killeen, TX; granddaughter Aurora Racz of Killeen, TX; and sister Bonnie Keul of Columbus, OH.
A celebration of life for Steven is scheduled for May 14, 2021, viewing at 9 am and service at 10 am at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710. It will be followed by a graveside burial ceremony at River Hills/Lake Wylie Cemetery. All are invited to a celebratory luncheon at River Hills Country Club.
