Mr. Stuart Donald Rother, 91, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away May 2, 2021 at home.

A Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Imagine Church 14542 Choate Cr., Charlotte, NC 28273.

Mr. Rother was born January 5, 1930 in St. Louis, MO to the late Maximillan and Dorothy Joseph Rother.  He was a U. S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean conflict and attended St. Louis University and Washington University, studying, Marketing and ICC law and rates.  He retired from Kaiser Refractories, worked for a subsidiary National Refractories for seven years then opened a Print/Copy shop in Charlotte, NC.  Bud did volunteer work with the American Red Cross, Easter Seals, Lake Wylie Lions and Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce.  He and his wife, Ann, enjoyed traveling, camping in their Motor Home, along with cruising.  They enjoyed golf and taking many vacations at various golf resorts.   He was preceded in death by a son, Stuart D. Rother.

Survivors are his wife of 68 years, Anna Davisee Rother; daughters, Jean R. Speyer of Birmingham, AL and Terri R. McGeorge (Jim) of Seneca, SC; sister Audrey Hanlon of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Leanne Carpinelli and Alexandra Speyer.
