Susan L Holland, originally of Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter C Holland, Jr.

Susan was a woman of many interests and talents. She had a brief career teaching high school in Transylvania County, NC before raising a family in Brevard. In 1986, Susan and Walter, moved to Clover, SC to purchase and operate Corson Rubber, which was sold in 1997. Since that time, Susan has continued interests such as gardening, birding, tennis, and playing bridge. She was a Master Gardner and a Stowe Botanical Garden founding member and volunteer. She loved to share her knowledge of gardening and birding through popular speaking engagements within the local communities, as well as through her written columns published in the neighborhood newsletter.

Susan is survived by her two children, Curtis L Holland of Bessemer City, NC and Gail Holland Clarke of Fallston, MD, as well as three adult grandchildren, Devin A Holland, Peter H Clarke, and Christine E Clarke.

Due to the COVID situation, there will only be a graveside service at the Lake Wylie/River Hills Community Cemetery, scheduled at 2:00 pm Thursday, Jan 14, 2021. A mass will be said in her honor at a later date, as well as a celebration of life, also at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stowe Botanical Gardens, 6500 S New Hope Rd, Belmont, NC 28012.
