OBITUARY NOTICE: Tammy J. Carrick, Fort Mill, SC
Mrs. Tammy Joy Henriques Carrick, 55, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, with her family by her side.
Tammy was born October 22, 1970 in the Panama Canal Zone to Robert and Ann Watson Henriques.
Survivors are her husband of 34 years, Sean Christopher Carrick; daughter Meaghan Carrick Ly (John) of San Diego, CA; son Brendan James Carrick of Fort Mill, SC; parents Robert & Ann Henriques; sisters Teresa H. Payne (Jonathan) and Trudy H. Reinhold (Eric); and brother Timothy James Henriques (Julie).
Tammy was, in every sense, a joyful warrior. She faced life with courage, grace, and a heart anchored in faith. Even in her sickest moments, she found a way to encourage others, offering words of hope, comfort, and strength when many would have had none left to give. Her life was a living testimony of what it means to follow Christ: to love deeply, serve faithfully, endure bravely, and shine light into the lives of others.
She loved her family fiercely. Tammy’s devotion to those closest to her was unwavering, and her love was felt in both the big moments and the quiet, everyday acts of care. She was a fighter to the very end, meeting every challenge with strength, dignity, and a spirit that refused to be defined by illness.
Tammy also found joy and beauty in creativity. Through art, encouragement, and the way she saw the world, she reminded others that beauty could still be found even in difficult seasons. Her kindness, faith, humor, and strength left an imprint on everyone blessed to know her.
Tammy’s legacy is one of faith, courage, love, and encouragement. She lived as a disciple of Christ Jesus, and her family takes comfort in knowing that her battle is over, her pain is gone, and she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
