Mr. Tay Wolcott Krause, 82, of York, SC, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023 at home.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at M. L. Ford & Sons, 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.

Mr. Krause was born October 15, 1940 in Malverne, NY to the late Paul Ernest and Ruth Alis Wolcott Krause. Tay was one of the founders and President of Longwood Youth Sports Association (LYSA) for 20 years, located in Middle Island, NY. It is currently the largest sports organizations in Suffolk County, NY offering over ten sports.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ellen Susan Murray Krause; sons Paul James Krause (Terri) of Lake Wylie, SC and Raymund Jon Krause (Robin) of Louisville, KY; and grandchildren Aleksandr Krause, Anastasia Krause, Gracelyn Krause, Arianna Krause, and Brooklyn Krause.

Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Alis Davidson.
