Obituary

Mr. Ted R. Shaffer, 91, of Clover, SC, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at CaroMont Medical Center, Gastonia, NC

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Shaffer was born January 10, 1932 in Newburg, WV to the late Dallas and Mary Bell Shaffer.  Ted was a U. S. Coast Guard veteran and was a retired truck driver for Mill Service Inc.     

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eileen Borso Shaffer; daughters, Bonnie Sperring (Ron), McDonald, PA, Cindy Gallo (Frank), Rogers, Ark., and Eileen Simmons (Garnie), Clover, SC; sons Ernie Shaffer (Eva), the Philippines and Ted J. Shaffer, McDonald, PA; ten grandchildren Kevin Sperring, Carrie Tenney, Jenna Decker, Laura Shaffer, Meghan Gallo, Eric Gallo, Christi Csonka, Lynnette Beatty, Zach Simmons, and Jason Shaffer.

He also cherished spending time with his twelve great grandchildren and his great, great grandson.
