Mr. Terrence Edward Matthews, 71, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away on July 12th, 2021.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 530 Highway 274, Lake Wylie, SC with Father John Giuliani and Father Terence Keehan officiating.  Interment will be in the Lake Wylie/River Hills Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC.

Mr. Matthews was born May 22, 1950 in Utica, NY to the late Edward George and Mary Elizabeth Benjamin Matthews.  Terrence taught special education for over 30 years at Eastern Suffolk BOCES on Long Island, NY.

Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Regina Berning Matthews; son, Timothy Matthews (Whitney) of Charlotte, NC; sister, Cherylyn Baxter (John) of Newnan, GA; daughter-in-law, Melissa Matthews of Lake Wylie, SC; and grandchildren, Evan, Emily, and Cora.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Matthews.
