Mrs. Therese Odette Betlow Brausch, of York, South Carolina passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at Atrium Health, Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Brausch was born October 16, 1953, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Michael and Regina Heba Betlow. 

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert Brausch, their daughter, Corey Hurley, and husband, Eric, step-daughter Jenny Sconzo and her husband Anthony, grandchildren Lauren Fiore, Ryan, Alyssa, Deanna and Nicholas Sconzo, her sister, Robin Sokel, and husband, Randy, and her brother Mark Jo Betlow. 

Therese spent 25 years as a special education teacher in the New York City public school system. She changed the lives of many students caring for them as her own and supplied meals when they were hungry.

Therese was a talented custom cake baker and decorator, spreading joy to family, friends and neighbors across all celebrations. She would rave how everything was edible! 

She was a beloved member of the local Red Hat Society chapter and a cheerful volunteer of the YMCA First Thursdays Club. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
