Mr. Thomas Lewis Caldwell, Sr., 82, of Clover, SC, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Clover A.R.P. Church, 127 Kings Mountain St., Clover, SC with the Rev. Mark Miller and Rev. Calvin Draffin officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC.
Mr. Caldwell was born July 9, 1942 in Clover, SC to the late James Boyce Caldwell, Sr. and Julia Pursley Caldwell. He was a U. S. Air Force Reserves Veteran and a longtime member of the Clover A.R.P. Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas L. Caldwell, Jr. and brother, James Boyce Caldwell, Jr.
Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Diann B. Caldwell; daughter Tracy C. Swanson of York, SC; son Wade Caldwell (Helen) of Augusta, GA; daughter-in-law Aubrey Caldwell of Rock Hill, SC; brother Wade Caldwell (Maxine) of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren (Devin and Bryce Swanson, Brandt, Whit, and Eliza Caldwell, Tristan Austin, Scarlet Taylor, Ashton Caldwell); and two great-grand-children (Rhys and Jude Taylor).
His career path began in sales and pivoted to service in emergency response including volunteering with Clover Rescue and at Carowinds. He concluded his professional career overseeing the Life Skills program where he retired from York County Sheriff’s Office in 2013.
