Vincent Mugavero, of Lake Wylie, SC, died Monday, April 16, 2018.
Mr. Mugavero was born January 10, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Anthony Mugavero and Angeline Barbaglia. Sisters Tonette and Dottie and his “Grandma B”, who held a very special place in his heart, predeceased him. He is survived by his brother Michael.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Michael, Matthew, and daughter Melissa. Grandchildren: Madisyn, Mia, Vincent, Sophia, Angelina, Braden and Declan. He adored his grandchildren who all called him “Pops”.
Mr. Mugavero served in the United States Air Force. He worked for 28 years at Cryovac, a division of W.R. Grace Co. as the Director of Sales for US & Canada. He was the founder one the longest running soccer tournaments in the northeast, Pocono Cup. He raised his family in Denville, NJ, then moved to Lake Wylie, SC in 1994. Vince was well known throughout the Lake Wylie community as the owner and operator of Lake Wylie Liquors. He was well-known for his extreme generosity to individuals and non-profit organizations.
