A true treasure was lost with the passing of Wayne Clark Farris, 73, of York, SC, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Atrium Health, Charlotte, NC.

Wayne was a horseman, a motorcyclist, a golfer and an avid traveler.  He enjoyed hiking, camping and being outdoors.  He was an accomplished chef and a proven Master Griller.  Wayne was so positive and enthusiastic- ready for anything.  His dedication to the community was inspiring to so many.  Wayne never met a stranger and was a fantastic story teller.  He was devoted to his loving wife, Linda, for over 18 years.  Together they touched so many lives.

Mr. Farris was born April 20, 1950, in Belmont, NC to the late Edgar Boyd and Gertrude Allen Farris. He was a pharmacist for over 30 years and part owner of Cramerton Drug Store.

Survivors are his wife Linda Farris; sons Jason Farris of Charlotte, NC and Adam Farris (Emmy) of Boone, NC; sister Peggy Byrd of Marietta, GA; brother Allen Farris of Santa Fe, NM; grandchildren Olive and Lottie Farris; his best friend Pusher and companions Jackson, Willie, GrayC and Cody.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at M. L. Ford & Sons, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cramerton Drug Benevolence Fund, 149-8th Avenue, Cramerton, NC 28032.
