Major William Michael Hemlepp, Sr., 84, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at The American Legion, 524 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC.  

Major Hemlepp was born July 29, 1935 in Ashland, KY to the late John William and Susan Christine Coburn Hemlepp.  Major Hemlepp was a career Marine Corp officer in Force Recon and served in many forward positions, including Vietnam.   

Survivors are his loving wife Martha Chavez Hemlepp; daughters Robin Hemlepp Comfort (Steve), Suzanne Hemlepp Luna (Tom), Michelle Carolina Hemlepp (Shane), Gloria Elizabeth Hemlepp Dombrowski (David), and Zully Elisa Hemlepp Melvin (Ryan); sons William Michael Hemlepp, Jr. of Columbia, SC and Michael Alexander Hemlepp (Kathia) of Charlotte, NC; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
