Mr. William Robert Cooke, Sr. (Bill) 74, of Clover, SC, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 surrounded by family at his home. 

A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the First United Methodist Church, 124 Bethel Street, Clover, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Church. 

Mr. Cooke was born November 16, 1950, in Rocky Mount, NC, to the late Asa Jones Cooke and Gertrude Louise Wendell Cooke formerly of Scotland Neck, NC.  

Mr. Cooke enlisted in the Coast Guard right out of high school and served 23 years active duty and returned as a civil servant after his military retirement to serve another 23 years supporting the Coast Guard as a Logistics Manager. He and his wife retired in 2016 and moved to South Carolina to enjoy retirement and be closer to family.  

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frankie Johnson Cooke; his children, William Robert Cooke, Jr. (Danielle) of Versailles, IN, and Jennifer Ann Arbaugh (Jason) of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Brooke Arbaugh (Tyler), Damien Cooke, Hannah Gilliam (Ryan), Piper Arbaugh (Nick), Hailey Pippin, Karlie Pippin, Brooke McCarty, Ryan Cooke; great-grandchildren, Kristen Wallace and Rylie Gilliam; a sister, Marie Cooke Jones (Bill) of Aiken, SC and various nieces and nephews.
