Mr. William G. Ebert, born June 23, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 of natural causes in Tega Cay, SC.
Beloved husband of Jeannette (nee Hacker, deceased May 3, 2021), son of William J. Ebert and Grace Lyons.
Bill served from 1951-1955 in the USAF as a B-29 Engine Specialist. He received his federal license in 1957 from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Miami, FL. He began his career at Friendship Airport (now BWI), transferred to Glen L. Martin Airport, where he helped build the Navy Seamaster aircraft. Laid off in 1961, he went to Allegheny Airlines at Washington International Airport, and was then assigned to Greater Pittsburgh International Airport, returning to Baltimore in 1972. Bill retired as a Senior Aircraft Inspector after 35 years with Allegheny Airlines, later US Airways.
His main hobbies were gardening, building model airplanes and designing and constructing large, unique train gardens for his family each holiday season.
Bill is survived by 3 children, Donna Feuchtenberger, Brett Ebert (Lili Mickesh), and Colin Ebert (Elizabeth Barnette); five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
As per Bill’s wishes, there will be no service.
