Obituary

Mr. William “Billy” James Bennett, 53, of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at home.

All services will be private.

Mr. Bennett was born June 4, 1969, in Lansing, MI, to Mary Elizabeth Cahill Bennett and the late Thomas Joseph Bennett.

He is survivored by his wife of 9 years, Jennifer “Jenni” Lynn Ryan Bennett; his mother Mary Elizabeth Bennett; his sisters Joan Schlegel and Michelle Evans; his brothers Thomas Bennett (Christine) and John Bennett; his stepsons Chase Ryan Taylor and Nolan Ryan Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Billy was a devoted and loving husband, stepfather, and friend. He was an avid boater, Cardinals and Michigan State fan, loved taking golf cart rides through the neighborhood, his newfound passion of camping, but ultimately just loved doing all those things with the love of his life, Jenni.  Although they only had 9 years together, they created a lifetime of memories.  He was truly one of the happiest individuals you could meet and loved the life he had created.
