Mr. William “Billy” Calvin Kolb, Jr., 76, husband of Jane Rodgers Kolb, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at home in Lake Wylie, SC.

Born July 1, 1946 in Sumter, SC, he was a son a son of the late William Calvin and Frances Eargle Kolb. He was a member of Redeeming Grace PCA in Lake Wylie, SC where he was Deacon Emeritus.  Billy graduated from Edmunds High School, class of 1964 and worked many years in sales in the commercial tire industry.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by son William Charles Kolb (Cathy) of Lake Wylie, sister Beverly K. Choate of Sumter, and son-in-law Matt Samojeden of Rye, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Sandra K. Samojeden, his brother, Robert John Kolb, and sister, Brenda Kolb.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Redeeming Grace Presbyterian Church, 4800 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC with the Rev. Doug Stelzig and Rev. Devin Kahan officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.  Interment will be in the Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2445 Highway 557, Clover, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeeming Grace PCA Missions Fund, 4800 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC 29710.
