Mr. William David Edwards, Sr. “Dave”, 77, of Clover, SC, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

A memorial service will be 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church, 124 Bethel St., Clover, SC, with the Rev. Scott Gilmer officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at the Church.

Mr. Edwards was born April 8, 1948, in Greenville, SC, to the late Rev. William L. Edwards and Wilhelmina Anderson Edwards.  Dave retired from AT & T/Windstream and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  He was very active in his Church and sang in the choir. Dave enjoyed gardening and growing daylilies and was known as the ground’s keeper for “Miss Susie’s Garden”.

His family was his pride and joy. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Susie Stephens Edwards; daughter Shelly E. Pierzinski (Daryl); son William “Bill” D. Edwards, Jr. all of Clover, SC; grandchildren Mary A. Brown (Mike), Devin J. Pierzinski (Maddie) and William “Logan” Pierzinski; great grandchildren Jackson Adams, Preston Brown, and Piper Pierzinski; sisters Wilhelmina Murphy (Gene), Rosemary Green (Joe), and Martha Meyer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Lanny Green and John Meyer.
