Ms. Zion Briella Meeks, 19, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at home in the loving arms of her mother and father.
Zion was born January 21, 2005, in Gastonia, North Carolina to Antoine Lauoisier Dunlap and LaTonya Meeks Sanders. She attended public schools in the Clover School District, where she participated in the Special Olympics. She absolutely loved to watch the sun rise, gaze at bright lights, and receive hugs and kisses (sometimes). She really enjoyed her time outside swinging on the swings and vacationing with her family at the beach. She had a mean left hook that would have made Joe Frazier jealous. Zion’s smile was contagious and a spirit lifter. She was a fearless warrior who inspired any and everybody that crossed her path. Zion will definitely be missed but never forgotten.
Zion is predeceased by her grandfather John Dunlap. She is survived by her parents, Antoine and LaTonya; her brothers, Darren Sanders and Ryan (Jessica) Dunlap; Grandparents, Johnnie Henderson, Clinzo (Betty) Meeks, Esther Dunlap, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
All services will be private.
