Betty Ruth (Whitaker) Davis

Betty Ruth Whitaker Davis, of York, SC died Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, February 24, 2017 at River Hills Community. Interment will be in River Hills Community Cemetery.   The family will receive friends following the service.  

Mrs. Davis was born October 17, 1932 to the late Faye and Jessie Oveda Ezelle Whitaker.  She had a lifelong, deep and abiding faith in her Lord and Savior and was a selfless, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.   

She is survived by her husband Johnny Max Davis; daughters Jackie Davis of Savannah, GA, and Joye Davis of Belmont, NC; son Doug Davis; sister Lib Jones; brother John Whitaker; grandchildren Kym Davis, Eric Davis, Korrin Williams, Nolan Davis, Noah Williams and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Steven Davis.
