Edward Ellis Shipton, 74 of York SC, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at home.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday, March 3, 2017 at Rose Hill Cemetery, York, SC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the Sanctuary Hills Church of God of Prophecy, 1289 Lincoln Road, York, SC.
Mr. Shipton was born August 1, 1942 in York County, SC to the late Willard and Edith Sisk Shipton. He was the widower of Joann Dover Shipton.
Survivors are his daughters Carol S. Dawkins and Tammy O. Dover; brother Larry Shipton all of York, SC; grandchildren Jennifer D. Hefner, Jessica Dawkins, Audrey Ramsey, Hannah Ramsey, A. J. Ramsey and great grandchildren Damien, Elijah, & Landon.
