James Albert Goforth

James Albert Goforth, 85, of Clover, SC, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at CaroMont Health, Gastonia, NC.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the First Baptist Church.  Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends  Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC.

Mr. Goforth was born May 2, 1930 in York County, SC to the late Sylvanus T. and Mattie McMackin Goforth.  He was the widower of Helen Barnett Goforth,  a past member of the S. C. National Guard and was retired from York Electric.

Survivors are his sons Keith Goforth (Mary) of Clover, SC & Steven Goforth (Cindy) of Travelers Rest, SC; sister Mary G. Robinson of Clover, SC; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
