Ted Cole, Jr.

Ted Cole, Jr., 76 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Hospice of Cleveland Co., Kings Mountain, NC.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church, 329 Telegraph Dr., Gastonia, NC with the Rev. Ted Cole, III and Rev. James Messer, Sr. officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover.

Mr. Cole was born October 20, 1940 in Clover, SC to the late Jerome and Flora Bell Parton Cole.  He was the widower of Carolyn Rose Cole and Freida McCoig Cole and was a U. S. Army Veteran.

Survivors are his wife Pauline Cole; daughters Rhonda Ballard (Eddie), Betty Ervin (Reggie) both of Clover, SC, Leigh Owens (Grady) of Gastonia, NC; sons Ted Cole, III (Lisa) of Clover, SC, Timothy Cole (Lynn) of Fort Mill, SC, Kenneth Cole (Patty) of Salisbury, NC; sister Dolly Welch; step-children Gary Goudelock (Karen), Pat Goudelock (Maria), Jeff Goudelock, Lisa Thomas (Richard); 41 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa King and two brothers, Johnny Cole and Billy Ray Parton.
