Dr Elliott became my physician in 1957 when I was 3. When he arrived at our house to see me for strep throat I was expecting a painful shot & was hiding under the couch. He got me to come out by promising NOT to give me a shot if I would take pills. Of course I came out, took the pills, got well, & trusted him forever! He was still my doctor when I went to medical school 20 years later. I looked forward to seeing him every spring at the Postgraduate Seminar in Greenville. He will be greatly missed this April. He was a wonderful role model.

Ms. Elliott, Carl, Hal, Britt and family, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Elliott. Regrettably I was unable to attend the services in person. He and your family have been in my heart and thoughts for many days. I count myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to be guided along life's path in my youth by his tutelage. He will be missed! All the best and my love, Garron

Dr. Elliott was such a blessing to me as a physician and scout master. So many memories with him and all the scouts to whom he devoted his time. No longer to suffer in this world he will now sing in heavens choir as we await our time to join him in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! My prayers go out to Mildred, Carl, Hal, Britt and all the family members.

Thinking of the Elliott family in your loss, I read of Dr. Elliott's passing today and many memories came back to me of my few years growing up in Clover. The neighborhood basketball court at the Elliott's, the Boy Scout troop, the times I was welcomed in your home, for the care I received as a young patient, for these and many more I am forever grateful.Thoughts and prayers lifted up tonight, Sincerely

Miss Mildred, Carl, Hal, and Britt. I have such fond memories of Dr. Bruce and your whole family. I'm not sure I would have gotten through allergy shots without his kind patience and gentle manner. I think of y'all often. Momma loved all of you too. Fondly, Janet

I met Dr. Elliott through two of his sons, Britt and Carl. They are remarkable human beings, and I expected that their father, of whom they spoke with such candor and love, would be remarkable, too. That expectation was amply fulfilled, and I wish i could have known this good man much better than I did. Jane and I send our love and sympathy to his wonderful family in their grief at his death.

Dear Elliotts - We were grateful to have met Bruce on his visits north, and when he and Ms Mimi hosted us in Clover. His twinkling eyes and bright smile were so very welcoming. We loved listening to his tales, as we love listening to his son Britt's. We are fortunate that he lives on through his boys.

My condolences to the Elliot family. I remember Dr. Elliot as a kind and caring doctor. My mother, Mary Moore was intentional about our early medical experiences in Clover. She wanted a good doctor who would treat her family with respect. If I'm not mistaken, my dad Tracy was your yard man for several years. I think I first went to Dr. Elliot in 1957. Several years later, we moved to Gastonia. Thanks for welcoming our family into your family practice. Thomas Moore (www.drthomasmoore.com)

We are so sorry to hear of Dr. Elliot's passing. He has surely touched many lives during his practice as a physician. While this is a sad time for your family, our Heavenly Father gives us reason for hope. While on earth his son, Jesus Christ, said: "everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." Those words give us hope for a future with our dear loved ones under the perfect conditions recorded at Isaiah 64:20-25 and Revelation 21:3,4. We hope these words of encouragement help your family to endure the days to come. Take care.

Dr. Elliott was a caring physician who placed patient care and humane treatment of his fellow man above politics. When he opened his office in the sixties, Dr. Elliott's patients --regardless of race -- sat in the same waiting room. This was a rather audacious move at a time when Clover and the rest of the state were adjusting to the new laws of the land. Indubitably, Christianity was the doctor's guiding force.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:23-24
REST IN PEACE!

I would like to give my thoughts and prayers to Dr. Elliott's family and friends. You see....I cared for him at CMC-P and was one of his respiratory practioners in ICU for a good while and managed his ventilator. I also live in Clover and have learned about his connection with this community. I'm glad I be part of the critical team involved in his care. Godspeed to you Dr. Elliott.
