Pamela (Snyder) Reading

Pamela Snyder Reading (Pam) of Charlotte, NC died on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the age of 60.

Pam never met a stranger. If you knew her, she knew your life story. Pam loved yoga and Jesus, and she shared both freely. She worked in hope, caring for people and animals in crisis. She founded New Beginnings to help people overcome addiction; served as a Stephen Minister; and felt called to end homelessness through Room In the Inn, Friendship Gardens, and Bridges Out of Poverty. Pam rescued dogs, jammed at MerleFest, and never passed up pimento cheese. She was unapologetically authentic. She was Pammy.

She is survived by her husband Andy Reading, her daughter Ashley and son-in-law Brian Tice, her mother Betty Snyder, her sisters Patti Snyder and Sandy Grodsky, sister-in-law Melanie Pirollo, cherished nieces and nephews, and her beloved, if barky, dogs Bernie and Gretel. She was predeceased by her father Captain Virgil Snyder, USN.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 5 at 1:30pm at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 Charlotte Hwy.
